Have these ready before your next gathering

Monitor local notices. Your county or state health department — not national headlines — is the signal that matters for your venue.
Keep an exposure-notification procedure. Know in advance how you’d tell families if a case is linked to your event, and who sends it.
Have a referral path. Point families to their clinician or local health department for medically-appropriate guidance — don’t improvise medical advice.
